It's really nice to be able to use your Ranger to attack the first pod (or all pods) and simply switch to concealment for scouting at your leisure. Concealment does pair nicely with your Sniper for overwatch trap triggers and ease of Killzone setup - so offensive value is added there. There were times when i wished an assault had Run&Gun but i felt comfortable with my overall team firepower.
If nothing else it helped speed up my play because i could comfortably and safely scout. I enjoyed using Conceal in this latest playthrough. Previous to this recent game i rarely used Phantom and never used Conceal. I did made a switch to Run&Gun and Rapid Fire late in the game - one 1 assault - when i decided to do the Alien Nest mission and activate the rulers. After the +10aim buff to Blademaster significantly improved the value (reliability) of Slash i felt comfortable trying a playthrough where i only selected Conceal on my Rangers.
